When we first started Box of Light almost eight years ago, the whole idea was to create a welcome interruption into your working week. It was simple: take five, grab a coffee and scroll through some pictures right there at your desk every Tuesday at 10:30am. Each edition features some of our favourite images from the previous week's shooting. Mostly surf and seascape photography. It exists only to inspire you to start planning your own weekend of adventure.
It's designed to be viewed with your Tuesday coffee and one of our earliest subscribers loved this element. Duncan Northover runs The Strictly Coffee Company, one of Dunedin's finest coffee roasteries. He's also a surfer and finds an excuse every Tuesday at 10:30am to slip into the world of Box of Light and dream of the ocean. His coffee beans have certainly played a large part in the production of Box of Light over the years.
Finally, after many coffee meetings and a lot of pestering, The Strictly Coffee Company has come on board with Box of Light! It's a great partnership, such a natural fit and we're very excited to have such a quintessential Dunedin brand help fuel our journey.
So grab a coffee, make it a Strictly Coffee brew (you can order beans right here), and enjoy this week's images. Box of Light is free and always will be thanks to the support of our partners and advertisers. They're awesome, show them so love.
See you at the beach ... Derek
