You may have noticed we've been travelling a lot lately and this past week we had some work coincide with a surprise swell and offshore winds at Wellington's Lyall Bay. Between meetings we managed to get out to see this fabled wave breaking right alongside the airport. We even saw a few Air New Zealand birds touch down just a few hundred metres from the peak.
It's nice to see waves in the capital and to explore some of its vibrant streets at night. I found one alleyway off Cuba Street that offered restaurants with every type of food you could imagine. And they were all packed and buzzing with people from all walks of life.
Scratch that itch, go and explore somewhere new.
